Minexpo International: A “Must” for Miners Around the World

As the first large-scale North American mining industry trade show to take place post-pandemic, MINExpo 2021 expects to attract more than 40,000 attendees for three days of valuable business and networking opportunities.

Sponsored by the National Mining Association (NMA), the MINExpo International show offers a wide range of products and services for the coal, metals and non-metals mining and processing industries.

More than 1,900 exhibitors from 40 countries participate in the show, showcasing in the 11 halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center their innovative solutions for every step of the mining process, from exploration and mine development to smelting, processing and post-mine reclamation. Hot topics such as environmental improvement are also the focus of the show.

USA Mining: A Living Tradition of the American People

Mining in the United States has been active since early colonial times, but became a major industry in the 19th century, with a series of new mineral discoveries that led to a series of booms in mining activity.

Today, the United States has 3,921,409 mining grant records on public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and 134,153 mine records cataloged by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

Of these, the state of Nevada has the largest number of active mining concessions (231,922) and ranks second among states with the largest number of mines (11,885), just behind California, which has 25,673 (based on public lands listed in The Diggings™).

The top commodities most frequently appearing in U.S. mines are gold, silver and copper.

IDS, exclusive distribuitor of SPT technologies in the US

Since 2019, Stockholm Precision Tools has been working with IDS, a subsidiary of Granite, as the exclusive distributor of gyroscopic surveying tools for the mining industry.

Thus, the US market has been able to benefit from the most accurate borehole surveying tools in the industry during these years of successful agreement.
