Canada, February 2025. At PDAC 2025, March 2-5, Stockholm Precision Tools (SPT) announced the official launch of StructMaster™. At an exclusive event at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the SPT team welcomed geologists and mining industry professionals to learn first-hand about its new oriented core logging solution, designed to take mining exploration to a higher level of accuracy, efficiency and digitization.
StructMaster™, the next generation in structural logging
For the first time, users can recalculate angles at any time from the captured image, eliminating the need for remeasurement and ensuring accurate results with no margin of error.
StructMaster™’s fast and intuitive interface allows geologists to capture, analyze and validate structural data directly on the device without the need for additional hardware, cables, accessories or specialized training.
It also facilitates data organization and analysis with its smart labeling feature for structure classification and the ability to customize the capture of geological information with color filters.
Thanks to its integration with SmartCloud™, this innovative system offers fast and secure data transfer, optimizing real-time collaboration between exploration teams anywhere in the world.
“Mining and exploration companies around the world are looking for solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy, and StructMaster satisfies both requirements. This new development is designed to streamline and automate structural analysis, reduce human error by eliminating manual adjustments, and ensure consistent and reliable data for every measurement,” said Orlando Ramirez, CEO of SPT.
StructMaster™ official launch event at PDAC 2025
On March 2nd, SPT organized an exclusive event for the official launch of StructMaster™. The day started with the presentation “Oriented Structural Data Value Recovery, Workflow, and Innovation”, in which Chris Brown addressed the current limitations of the core shack and the need to transform the structural measurement process with more advanced tools to ensure auditability and traceability of structural data.
Luis Farfán, SPT’s Chief Geologist, followed with “Introducing StructMaster: Next Generation Structural Logging Solution,” showed how StructMaster™ allows images to be stored, reviewed, and angles recalculated anytime, anywhere, ensuring that structural data is accurate and verifiable.
“A current concern in the industry is the inability to relog cores once they have been cut, as this destroys the original structural information. StructMaster™ solves this problem by allowing the data to be reviewed and verified at any time, ensuring the reliability of the structural information in the geological models,” said Luis Farfán.
Attendees highlighted the ease of use and the ability to access images after the initial measurement as one of the most valued features. Alfredo Serrano, Global Sales Integration Manager, described the launch as a real success, both in terms of attendance and feedback on the tool.
Another aspect that caught the attention of the attendees was the ease of performing automatic measurements using colors to filter structures, making it easier to classify and organize data for future analysis. In addition, the ability to update the software to optimize previously made measurements and to continuously improve the recorded data was of great interest.
“It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm of geologists, mining professionals and industry leaders as they recognized the transformative impact of StructMaster. The interest from attendees confirmed that we are delivering exactly what the market needs: a state-of-the-art automated solution that simplifies and improves core oriented structural measurements,” added Orlando Ramirez.
StructMaster™ is positioned worldwide
For more than three decades, SPT has pioneered the development of precision technologies that improve operational efficiency, data reliability and resource optimization in mineral exploration worldwide.
With this launch, SPT complements its product portfolio, which includes tools for rig alignment, trajectory measurement and core orientation. With StructMaster™, the company completes the end-to-end mining exploration cycle, incorporating structural logging as a key component in strategic decision making.
“SPT will continue its global promotion strategy with presentations at international trade shows such as the Mongolian Mineral Exploration Roundup, Expominas in Ecuador and Exposibram in Brazil. In addition, we are preparing an agenda of webinars and demonstration spaces where professionals can learn how our software works. We will also carry out digital and print campaigns, working with our divisions and distributors around the world to ensure that StructMaster™ reaches more geologists and industry professionals,” mentions Eric Estrada, SPT’s Global Marketing Manager.
With StructMaster™, SPT is redefining the future of structural logging, ensuring that mining companies can make more strategic, faster and more reliable decisions.
