GyroScout™ Tool with Gyro PushRodder: Ultra-portable and accurate blast hole measurement
SPT presented its comprehensive blast hole inspection system, which aims to improve the quality control procedure of blasting operations.
This integrated system consists of a versatile, ultra-portable gyroscopic tool (GyroScout™) and a flexible, up to 100 metre long, fibreglass deployment device (Gyro PushRodder).
GyroScout incorporates the latest technology to accurately measure blast hole deviation. It operates in memory mode and offers excellent wireless operation using a state-of-the-art Bluetooth® connection. It also offers optimum performance in extreme conditions (-20°C to +70°C).
This gyroscope is one of the lightest on the market, weighing just 2.4kg in it’s one-piece pressure housing. The design is extremely compact, with a diameter of 32mm and a length of 950mm.
The combination of these features significantly reduces survey time and physical effort required to operate the system, making for a superior and more efficient user experience.
Intuitive software allows accurate measurement of blast hole trajectories. It includes the ability to export detailed reports in the most common industry formats (PDF, Excel, CSV, LAS and DXF).
Multiple blast holes can be displayed on the handheld device providing immediate reassurance that all holes have been surveyed.
Data is then instantly synchronised to the cloud thanks to native support for SPT SmartCloud™, allowing you to manage and store measurements for all mining projects with complete security and privacy.

At stand B32, the SPT Brazil team was on hand to answer all the questions of the attendees.
They also offered a unique augmented reality experience.
Using a tablet set up at our stand, they explored how our latest tools work in an interactive, fun and dynamic way.
In this way they were immersed in the technology and had a better understanding of the solutions we have developed.
