SPT will participate in Arminera for the first time from May 20 to 22. Arminera is the most important mining industry trade show in Argentina and will take place at the Predio Ferial La Rural in Buenos Aires. Visit us at booth Hall 1J-10, where our team will present the latest technology for drilling and mining exploration to industry professionals.
Organized by the Argentine Chamber of Mining Entrepreneurs (CAEM) and Messe Frankfurt Argentina, this year’s event will feature over 400 exhibitors, 17 international delegations, and representatives from 12 mining provinces. Over 20,000 visitors are expected to attend, which is a 70% increase from the previous edition.
The agenda includes the Arminera Summit, business rounds, sectoral roundtables, conferences, and panels focused on sustainability, investment, and federal development.

This year, SPT is joining Arminera with a highly trained technical team ready to speak with industry professionals, answer questions, and present our cutting-edge solutions.
Agustina Mercado, Lucas Real, Nelly Peñarrieta, and César Rubín will represent our company and share the latest solutions in mining, drilling, and exploration technology with visitors.
As part of the event, César Rubín will give a technical talk on Wednesday, May 21, at 11:00 a.m. entitled “StructMaster™: State-of-the-Art Solution for Structural Logging.” This talk will provide an excellent opportunity to learn how to improve the accuracy, traceability, and efficiency of geological structural analysis.
SPT’s technological solutions
During the three-day event, we will be showcasing our most advanced technologies, which are designed to address the challenges facing industry today. These include GyroMaster™, a solid-state north-seeking gyroscope that is ideal for improving orientation during exploration; GyroScout™, a precise and robust tool for measuring trajectories, even in magnetic environments; CoreMaster™, a digital device for orienting cores of various diameters; and GyroLogic Evo™, a versatile solution for conducting continuous surveys in challenging operating conditions.
We will also be presenting our latest development for structural logging, StructMaster™, for the first time in Argentina. This redefines quality standards from the early stages of exploration.
Argentina: a growing stage for mining
The Argentine mining sector is experiencing remarkable growth. In February 2025, production recorded a year-on-year increase of 1.8%, reaching its highest level since 2017. Projections point to an investment of US$1.6 billion for this year, with prospects of exceeding US$20 billion between 2026 and 2029, driven by the Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI).
This momentum is strongly supported by lithium and copper. In the case of lithium, Argentina is consolidating its position as the world’s fifth largest producer, with a projection of 130,800 tons for 2025, representing a 75% increase over the previous year. At the same time, copper is gaining prominence thanks to the ambitious Vicuña Project in San Juan, led by Lundin Mining and BHP. This initiative, considered the largest exploration project in the last three decades, positions the country as a key player in the development of this mineral at the regional level.

Adding to this encouraging outlook is the 3.7% increase in gold and silver production during the first two months of the year, with outstanding performance in provinces such as San Juan and Santa Cruz.
Challenges and projections
Recent economic measures, such as the lifting of currency restrictions and the introduction of tax incentives, have created a favourable environment for new investments. According to the World Bank, mining will be a strategic sector in Argentina’s economic recovery, provided a sustainable, planned approach is maintained.
Although challenges remain in terms of infrastructure and services, the international context and local policies position mining as one of the key drivers of the country’s economic development.
