Authorized sales and service agreement gives India’s mineral exploration and mining sector local access to SPT borehole survey, core orientation and rig alignment technology.
MÁLAGA, Spain, September 28, 2026. Stockholm Precision Tools (SPT) has signed a non-exclusive agreement with Aganaan Technologies Private Limited (ATPL), a geophysical instrumentation company based in Tamil Nadu. The agreement appoints ATPL as an Authorized Sales and Service Partner for SPT in India. ATPL will offer SPT instruments and software for rental and purchase to mineral exploration organizations, mining companies and drilling contractors, supported by local sales, import logistics, field deployment support and training.

The collaboration between SPT and Aganaan Technologies will strengthen local access to technology and support for mineral exploration projects in India.
The agreement comes as India expands its mineral exploration program. According to a Press Information Bureau release from April 2026, the Geological Survey of India plans to undertake approximately 500 mineral exploration projects in its 2026-27 field season, around 300 of them focused on critical and strategic minerals. As projects advance from reconnaissance toward more detailed exploration stages, drilling becomes central to the work, and borehole trajectory and core orientation data feed directly into geological interpretation.
What the agreement covers
The agreement covers SPT’s mining portfolio, including instruments and software for drill-rig alignment, gyroscopic and magnetic borehole surveying, core orientation, depth tracking and digital data management. Customers in India can access this technology through ATPL on a rental or purchase basis.

ATPL will provide deployment support and operational training to SPT customers on drilling projects in India.
ATPL will lead sales and business development in India, including technical presentations, demonstrations and participation in public tenders. The company will manage import, customs clearance and domestic delivery of SPT equipment. It will also provide deployment support and operational training at customer sites, based on training from SPT, and routine care of SPT equipment in India, including inspection, cleaning, basic troubleshooting and battery charging.
SPT continues to design, manufacture and calibrate its instruments at its own facility in Málaga, Spain. It will support ATPL and its customers with remote training and 24/7 multilingual technical support.

“India is expanding its mineral exploration at a pace that puts real demands on the quality of drilling data,” said Orlando Ramírez, Founder and CEO of Stockholm Precision Tools. “Working with Aganaan Technologies gives exploration teams in India a local partner for sales, logistics, field support and training, while we continue to manufacture and calibrate our instruments in Málaga and provide technical support around the clock. Our aim is to help those teams obtain reliable, traceable survey and orientation data across their drilling programs.”
