SPT’s U.S. team will be at booths 5 and 6 at the Society of Economic Geologists conference from September 30 to October 3, presenting StructMaster™, Polestar Aligner™ and GyroMaster™ Evo. SPT is also a co-sponsor of the conference WiFi.
MÁLAGA, Spain, September 28, 2026. Stockholm Precision Tools (SPT) will exhibit at the SEG 2026 Conference, organized by the Society of Economic Geologists, at booths 5 and 6 of the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, from September 30 to October 3, 2026. SPT is also a co-sponsor of the conference WiFi. SPT’s U.S. team, led by Johnnie Noble (Country Manager, SPT USA), together with Chris Perez (Operations Manager USA), will meet exploration and resource-definition geologists from around the world to discuss how alignment, survey and structural data can remain traceable from the drill site to the teams who interpret it.
SEG 2026 brings together economic geologists from industry, government and academia worldwide, with a program centered on the ore deposits and geological processes of the North American Cordillera. Its technical themes include orebody knowledge and deposit characterization, and applying new technology to known deposits. For exploration teams, the value of a structural measurement depends on whether its orientation, context and quality record can still be verified when the data is used for interpretation.

SPT teams discuss drilling, survey, and structural data workflows directly with exploration professionals at industry events.
At booths 5 and 6, SPT will present three technologies that follow the drilling workflow from rig setup to structural logging, with their data brought together in SmartCloud™.
Polestar Aligner™, SPT’s inertial alignment system for drill rigs, provides north-seeking alignment that operates independently of magnetic references. It can remain mounted on the rig mast throughout alignment, and the driller can read azimuth and inclination on the handheld from the cab.
GyroMaster™ Evo, SPT’s north-seeking gyroscopic borehole-surveying instrument, provides true-north borehole surveys that feed the same data workflow.
StructMaster™, SPT’s mobile software solution for structural logging of oriented core, calculates the alpha and beta angles of geological structures and can be used in the core shack or directly at the drill site. It is designed to support post-drilling traceability by linking measurements to image evidence, supporting recalculation and connecting results to SmartCloud™.
SmartCloud™, SPT’s cloud platform, provides the data environment for traceability, chain of custody, QA/QC and access control across connected SPT workflows. Its Open REST API is designed to support controlled connections with approved third-party platforms.

StructMaster™ supports image-assisted structural logging of oriented core while keeping measurements linked to their visual context.
Together, these technologies reflect SPT’s approach of treating the instrument, the measurement and the resulting data as one connected workflow rather than as separate products.
“Deposit characterization depends on structural and orientation data that geologists can still verify long after the core has left the drill site,” said Eric Estrada, Global Marketing Director at Stockholm Precision Tools. “SEG brings together the people who make those interpretations. Our U.S. team is in Salt Lake City to listen to how exploration teams manage that data today, and to show how SPT connects rig alignment, borehole surveys and structural logging in one traceable workflow.”
SPT’s participation in SEG 2026 comes shortly before the opening of its North American office in Mesa, Arizona, which is expected to open on November 12, 2026, following renovation.
Visitors can meet Johnnie Noble, Chris Perez, and the SPT U.S. team at booths 5 and 6 in the exhibit hall of the Salt Palace Convention Center. To arrange a meeting during the conference, or to learn more about the Mesa office, contact SPT USA at [email protected].
