SPT has presented a new drill rig aligner and blast hole solutions at the BRASMIN show in Brazil.
Stockholm Precision Tools (SPT) presented its state-of-the-art drill rig alignment and auger measurement solutions at the recent BRASMIN show in Goiania, Brazil. The tradeshow took place between June 27th and June 29th and was a great opportunity for SPT to showcase its latest technological advances.
SPT at the BRASMIN Trade Show, Booth #C25.
SPT was located at booth C25, presenting some of the company’s tools. One of the main attractions of the booth was the augmented reality experience offered to visitors.
Introducing the Ground-Breaking Quality Control Solution for Blastholes and drilling rig aligner from SPT
The innovative Polestar Aligner platform aligner was created by SPT as a consequence of their commitment to ongoing innovation. Due to its excellent performance—even at extremely high latitudes—this cutting-edge inertial navigation system has been creating quite a stir.
SPT showcased their comprehensive blast hole survey system, which is intended to improve the quality control procedure for blasting operations.
This integrated system consists of a versatile, ultra-portable gyro tool (GyroScout™) and a flexible, up-to 100-meter-long deployment device made of glass fiber (Gyro PushRodder).
The associated software has been painstakingly designed to enable accurate measurement of the blast hole trajectories while the new deployment solution makes surveying positive holes a piece of cake.
The Leading Event for the Small and Medium-Scale Mining Industry in Brazil is BRASMIN.
The small- and medium-scale mining sector in Brazil was venue for networking, fostering synergies, and exchanging information: BRASMIN. The event plays a crucial role in the worldwide mining sector and caters to mining activities on a scale that has a substantial impact on the Brazilian economy. This is the second edition of the trade show and of course that SPT was there at the show edition during 2022 demonstrating once again the Swedish company’s commitment to the industry in Brasil.
Check out the video below of SPT’s participation in Brasmin last year.
Brazil’s Mining Industry: The Backbone of the Country’s Economy
Brazil has always developed a close connection between mineral exploitation and the development of the economy.
Mining has shaped territorial occupation and developed into one of the key industries boosting the economy of the country. For a variety of sectors, including metallurgy, steelmaking, fertiliser, petrochemical, water treatment, civil construction, electronics, aircraft, pharmaceuticals, paper manufacturing, cosmetics, and more, the mining sector is essential in supplying raw materials. Additionally, it stimulates global development.
The mineral industry, which includes mineral processing, contributed a sizeable 22.5% of Brazil’s GDP in 2021, or an astounding $145 billion. Numerous minerals, including niobium, iron ore, gold, bauxite, copper, tantalite, manganese, and many more, are found in abundance in Brazil. The mining sector greatly boosts the nation’s foreign exchange revenues and creates a large number of employment possibilities, both directly and indirectly.
The industry generated a $41.7 billion trade surplus and employed over 700,000 people in just the previous year.
Goiás: A Crucial Mining Development Hub
A crucial centre for mining development is located in the state of Goiás, as well as in Brazil’s Central-West and Northern areas, which includes the neighbouring state of Minas Gerais.
This is the rationale for the choice of Goiânia as the venue for the second BRASMIN – the Mining Industry Fair.
Finally, SPT’s attendance at BRASMIN was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about their state-of-the-art solutions for drill rig alignment and blast hole surveying.
Given Brazil’s close ties to the mining sector, BRASMIN offers the ideal setting for professionals in the field to network, share expertise, and support the expansion and prosperity of the business.
