- SPT will be at Mexico Polimetálico on May 7 and 8.
- GyroRig Aligner™ and StructMaster™ are the solutions on display at booth 33.
Mexico Polimetálico is one of the most important mining events in the country and is held annually in Hermosillo, Sonora.
It brings together leaders, companies, specialists, and authorities from the sector, consolidating itself as a strategic meeting point for the exchange of knowledge, the presentation of innovations and the analysis of the national mining agenda. The program includes keynote speeches, exhibitions of products and services, and panel discussions on key issues such as regulatory reform and the challenges facing the industry.
One of the highlights of the event is the presentation of the Ostotakani Award, which celebrates the careers of professionals who have made outstanding contributions to the Mexican mining industry, recognizing their leadership, innovation and commitment to ethical and responsible practices.
Attending México Polimetálico provides access to specialized technical content on geology, technology and sustainability, and allows participants to identify global trends, build strategic alliances and learn about solutions that strengthen the sector’s competitiveness. The event has established itself as an essential forum for promoting modern, efficient and sustainable mining and for fostering dialogue between all stakeholders in the Mexican industry.

SPT at Mexico Polimetálico
SPT is participating in Mexico Polimetálico 2025 and will be present at booth 33, where our division team – consisting of Josué Navarro, Francisco Reyna and Ignacio Cano – will showcase technological innovations that represent a significant advancement in mining exploration.
These include the Gyro RigAligner™, a tool that allows drilling rigs to be aligned in less than five minutes, improving efficiency and accuracy in the field, and StructMaster™, our latest digital structural logging solution, which will be presented for the first time at this show.
This meeting will be an important opportunity to discuss the impact of these technologies on current operations and their ability to redefine standards of accuracy and efficiency in regional mining.

Showing visitors how our latest solution for structural logging works.
Opportunities for 2025
Hermosillo is located on the alluvial plain of the Sonora River, surrounded by mountains and hills in a geologically complex region formed by the Laramide Orogeny (Upper Cretaceous-Lower Miocene). This geological process has created a landscape characterized by faults, folds and a variety of formations, from conglomerates and clays to recent fluvial sediments, with a notable presence of volcanic and limestone rocks.
Sonora, with Hermosillo as its main industrial and mining center, leads the nation in copper and gold production and is the only state that produces molybdenum, graphite and wollastonite. It also excels in the production of iron, silver, zinc and other minerals that are key to the energy transition. Mining accounts for about 25% of the state’s GDP and generates more than 146,000 direct and indirect jobs, making it an economic mainstay for thousands of families.
With growing global demand for strategic minerals, Sonora is well positioned to capitalize on its potential. Initiatives such as the Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan seek to integrate the value chain by linking mining with emerging sectors such as electric car manufacturing. However, challenges remain, including responsible resource management and the need for agreements that ensure sustainable development.

With large deposits, a skilled workforce and solid infrastructure, Hermosillo and Sonora have a promising future as leaders in sustainable, innovative mining that meets new technological and environmental demands.
Mexico Polimetálico is the key event for the players driving the future of mining in the country. At SPT, we are committed to providing solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency and sustainability at every stage of the exploration process.
We invite you to visit us at booth 33 to learn more about our technologies and discuss how we can support your next challenges in the field.
See you in Hermosillo!
