The 8th Discoveries Mining Conference will soon take place in the mining capital of Mexico: Hermosillo in Sonora. This exhibition will be held from October 4th to 6th at Los Lagos Club, Campestre.
SPT is a proud sponsor of this event and we will be participating as exhibitors with a booth in spaces #112-113. In addition, one of our expert geologists, George Soden, will give a presentation about “survey accuracy” for all attendees in this space in which we intend to enhance three components of the mining ecosystem: exploration, innovation and development.

The event has numerous spaces, such as the exhibition area where mining suppliers and contractors will be able to present their products and services, showing the public their state-of-the-art technology that is applied in mining processes, from exploration, to development, production and closure.
Another of the most striking spaces at this event is the ‘Core Shack‘, which is a meeting place for geologists, prospectors and investors, where they will find rock samples, drill cores and technical information on some of the most important projects in Mexico.
In addition, the program includes a total of more than 50 lectures, among which we highlight our own. These lectures cover topics ranging from the latest geological discoveries, new technologies applied to mining and exploration, legal, political and social issues affecting the industry, and the challenges and obstacles faced and how to overcome them.
Other important topics to be discussed are the contribution of mining companies to the health, safety and development of the communities where they operate; sustainability and environmental management.
