Canada, January 2025. From January 20 to 23, 2025, Stockholm Precision Tools (SPT) will participate in the annual AME Roundup conference, held at the Vancouver Convention Centre East in Canada.
The event will gather geoscientists, prospectors, financiers, investors, suppliers, and other industry stakeholders from around the world to discuss the future of mining through technological innovation and industry transformation.
SPT at AME Roundup 2025
SPT Canada will be showcasing its high-precision mining tools with advanced gyroscopic technology for directional drilling at AME Roundup 2025.
For four days, Anthony Seredynski, Country Manager, and Olena Skyba, Sales Development Representative for Canada, will be joined by Johnnie Noble, Business Development Manager for SPT in the United States, at booth 506 in the exhibit hall. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about innovative solutions designed to optimise time and resources on mining projects, such as the Polestar Aligner™, the drill rig aligner that finds true north in minutes and provides accurate azimuth, pitch and roll measurements both above and below ground, and in either magnetic or remote environments.

Mining Exploration in Canada
Mineral exploration is crucial to ensure the long-term viability of the mining industry in Canada. By 2025, production in the Canadian mining market is projected to amount to 578,000.00m kg in 2025, according to Statista Market Forecast.
In 2023, Natural Resources Canada reported investments of $2.9 billion in mineral and metal exploration projects, of which 53% was for drilling, totalling more than $1.5 billion for geological sampling.
Research indicate that borehole deviations account for 15% of a mine’s total operating costs, with a third of these deviations due to drilling rig misalignment, equating to 5% of total OPEX. It is estimated that in 2023 alone, approximately $145 million were lost in the Canadian mining sector due to drill rig misalignment.
