“We are very excited about our expansion plans”, said Orlando Ramirez, President & CEO. “This new facility will provide us an additional 11,000 square meters of manufacturing space, but more importantly provide improved freight, reduced lead-times, and increased flexibility to our customers in the worldwide market.”
The plant manufactures a number of existing product lines including GyroTracer Directional, GyroLogic and the Universal Calibration Stand. It also gives SPT R&D department the increased ability to develop new innovative products.
“With the expansion of our sales force, we’ve gained a number of new customers who have been anxious for us to open another facility,” said Berne Sehlberg, VP and Board of Directors Chairman for SPT. “We are looking forward to developing our business with these new customers and adding many more with our new manufacturing presence.”
