Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. July 2024. As part of its global expansion strategy and a substantial investment, Stockholm Precision Tools (SPT) has opened its offices in the United States.
With two locations, SPT consolidates its presence in the main mining states of the country. The main office in Elko, Nevada, will handle operational services, while administrative and commercial management will be managed in Salt Lake City, Utah.
This distribution allows SPT, a global leader in the development and supply of high-precision gyroscopic solutions, to offer specialized support tailored to the specific needs of the American mining sector without intermediaries.
To strengthen its offering of state-of-the-art directional survey tools and drill rig alignment solutions for the US mining industry, SPT is integrating new personnel into its commercial, operational, and financial teams to consolidate its services in the region.
Johnnie Noble, Business Development Manager
Born in Nevada, the Silver State, he started his career as a drilling assistant. However, working closely with geologists, participating in various national exploration and drilling projects, and spending time in the field equipped him with the expertise to serve as a driller, operations supervisor, and technical service director. This career path has given him the knowledge required to focus on operations management and business development in major companies in the sector over the past few years.
His interest in new technologies during operations led him to specialize in directional drilling, high-precision survey tools, core orientation, and equipment alignment. These technical skills and his customer-focused vision make him an ideal fit for his new role at SPT.
Johnnie currently lives in Utah and enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
Trevor Greener, Technical Sales Executive
Trevor’s professional calling is a family heritage. Growing up in a family of drillers and miners in Nevada, he developed an early interest in the industry and began working in it from a young age. His experience with leading companies in the drilling and mining sector, along with his participation in key regional projects, has allowed him to specialize in measurement equipment and gyroscopic technology.
His career path from technical service representative to service director, along with his passion for technology, equips him well for his new role in the United States.
In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and family vacations.
Natasha Benoit, administrator and Finance Manager
With two decades of experience in accounting, she has perfected her skills in financial information, auditing, and regulatory compliance. Throughout her career, she has worked as an accounting manager and team leader, excelling in reconciliation and financial forecasting. In addition, her positive attitude and persistence when facing challenges have significantly contributed to the financial stability and growth of well-known companies in the sector, where she has also supported strategic financial planning.
Born in Colorado and currently living in Nevada, Natasha is a mother of three children. She enjoys snowmobiling and spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
SPT in the United States
The United States is a key producer and consumer of minerals, with notable reserves of resources such as coal, copper, gold, iron, lead, uranium, and other critical minerals like lithium, zinc, and nickel. Discovering these minerals, especially those with small veins at great depths, requires high-precision technology. SPT’s tools offer the necessary precision for these exploration projects in the country.
