Mining in Sinaloa
The mining sector in Sinaloa is an important pillar of the region’s economic development, with a history dating back to the 16th century. This sector is characterized by its wide distribution in 18 municipalities, where various mining concessions and projects have been established, reflecting the richness and diversity of mineral resources in the state.
In order to maximize the potential of this industry, Sinaloa has created a Mining Cluster. This is an initiative that seeks to improve collaboration between companies, suppliers and the government, focusing on strengthening the mining value chain.
In addition, the Mexican Geological Service plays a crucial role in providing detailed information on the state’s mining production, including data on mine ownership, companies in the exploration and exploitation phases, and metallurgical plants and their capacity.
This activity has not only contributed significantly to the economic development of Sinaloa, but has also had a positive impact on the improvement of regional infrastructure, paving the way for a more prosperous future for the state.
