Stockholm Precision Tools (SPT) will participate in the Idaho Mining Conference 2026, taking place October 26–27 at Boise Centre in Boise, Idaho. Organized by the Idaho Mining Association, the annual event brings together mining companies, exploration professionals, industry representatives, and technology providers to exchange knowledge and discuss developments across the mining sector.

Following its participation in the 2025 edition, SPT returns to Boise to connect with industry professionals and present solutions for acquiring, managing, and reviewing data throughout mineral exploration projects.
The SPT U.S. team, led by Johnnie Noble, Regional Director – North America, will be available at Booth 122 to discuss how field measurements and digital technologies support different stages of exploration, from drill rig alignment and borehole surveying to core orientation and geological interpretation.
Connecting Data Throughout Mineral Exploration
Mineral exploration involves several interconnected operations, each generating information that contributes to understanding the subsurface.
Accurate drill rig alignment establishes the initial drilling direction, while downhole surveys provide information about the actual borehole trajectory. Core orientation and structural logging subsequently help geologists relate observed geological structures to their spatial context.
Maintaining consistency and traceability across these processes is important for reviewing measurements and using them in subsequent geological work.

SPT’s approach combines specialized field instruments with digital data management, supporting the continuity of information between drilling operations, geological teams, and project data systems.
Technologies Supporting Field Measurements and Geological Workflows
At the Idaho Mining Conference 2026, SPT’s technology focus will include Polestar Aligner™, GyroMaster™, SmartCore™, and StructMaster™, covering key stages of mineral exploration.
Polestar Aligner™ supports drill rig alignment by providing azimuth and inclination references before drilling begins. Its north-seeking technology operates independently of magnetic references, supporting the establishment of the initial drilling direction.
GyroMaster™ provides north-seeking gyroscopic borehole surveys, allowing drilling teams to measure borehole trajectory without relying on magnetic north. These measurements provide information for reviewing the actual path of the borehole during exploration.

SmartCore™ is a digital core orientation system integrated into the inner tube head assembly. It supports the acquisition of orientation data during drilling operations, keeping this information available for subsequent geological work.
StructMaster™ digitizes structural logging of oriented drill core, allowing geologists to capture and review structural measurements with their corresponding visual context. The solution supports the calculation and verification of structural angles and the subsequent review of recorded information.
Together, these technologies address different stages of the exploration workflow, from establishing initial references to acquiring the structural information needed for geological interpretation.
SmartCloud™: From Field Data to Connected Information
Beyond individual measurements, SPT’s technology ecosystem focuses on maintaining data continuity, traceability, and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) throughout exploration projects.
SmartCloud™ provides a centralized digital environment for managing information generated by supported SPT technologies. The platform allows teams to access and review measurement records while maintaining the context and traceability associated with the data.

Its Open REST API extends these capabilities toward interoperability, enabling authorized external systems to access structured information within its supported scope.
By connecting field instrumentation with digital data management, SPT aims to support exploration teams in keeping technical information available and reviewable throughout the project lifecycle.
Meet SPT at Booth 122 – Idaho Mining Conference 2026
The Idaho Mining Conference provides an opportunity to exchange experiences with exploration geologists, drilling contractors, mining engineers, and other industry professionals working across the United States.
SPT’s U.S. team will be available throughout the event to discuss technical requirements, field applications, and how its technologies can support mineral exploration and drilling workflows.
